Actress Saranya Mohan

Saranya Mohan (born 19 Feb 1989) is an Indian film actress, who has acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. She is probably best known for her performances in Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu.

Saranya Mohan was born on 19 February 1989 as the eldest daughter of Mohan and Kalamandalam Devi at Alappuzha, Kerala. Saranya Mohan has a younger sister named Sukanya who is also trained classical dancer. Both her parents are trained classical dancers and dance teachers, who together runs a dance school, Y.K.B Dance Academy  in Alappuzha, where Saranya  herself also learnt dancing bharatanatyam. Saranya Mohan studied at St. Joseph’s College for Women, Alappuzha, completing her B. A. degree in English literature.Now she is perusing MA in English Literature from Annamalai University, Chidambaram.

Saranya Mohan was brought to light by Malayalam director Fazil, who had seen Saranya dancing at her dancing school. After approaching and persuading her parents, he cast her for a child character in the 1997 Malayalam film Aniyathi Pravu and its Tamil remake, Kadhalukku Mariyadhai. Next she made appearance as a child artist in the hit Malayalam movie Harikrishnans with Mohanlal , Mammootty & Juhi Chawla in lead roles. Now in year 2015 Saranya Mohan completed yet another Tamil movie Suyam  which is yet to be released.
